what is brand integration?
Brand Integration is the art of securing brands/products and logos and seamlessly positioning them in TV, film and new media as props. The placement of your brand into a production helps it to reflect an authentic, real world environment.
The product gets associated celebrity endorsement, exposure and kudos without the hefty fee of a 30 second spot. It's an ideal way of building national recognition and enhancing your brand image to a captive audience. Your company can profit by building and exploiting positive PR around 'As seen on the XYZ show'.
Brand integration is not advertising. Your company does not pay by the second and has no control over the creative process of program making.
If things don't change, they'll stay as they are!
Nothing stays the same…
Are you aware of just how much television is changing? This means traditional advertising is changing too. In 2006 online advertising revenue overtook that of traditional television advertising for the first time.
Is the 30 second spot history? No, far from it, but new ways of reaching fragmented and niche markets today will be paramount to building brand awareness in the future. You, your competitors and the audience will notice. Your brands will reap real results. The time to make brand integration part of your marketing strategy is now.

The Future
Payed-for product placement is currently prohibited in the UK. However in December 2005 the EC published the 'Television Without Frontiers Directive' This document proposes to liberalise the rules governing television advertising and legalising paid for product placement.
Ofcom introduced a three month consultation period for all interested parties to submit their case regarding product placement on UK TV by March 2006.
'Whilst Ofcom is at liberty to consult on the potential for deregulation of product placement, stakeholders must be aware that its ability to act on the outcome of this consultation will be influenced and constrained by the EC Directive and its current review. This means that the timetable for implementation of any changes suggested by the outcome of this consultation will be primarily determined by the timetable for review of the TWF Directive'. Ofcom
When the new guidelines are published, tvuk.mobi will be in an optimum position to expliot our clients brands who will benefit over their competitors who have yet not come to grips with the full potential of brand intergration.
